This hotel has 412 guestrooms on five floors with an elevator. All rooms provide Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed, which includes a pillow top mattress, triple sheeting, 180- to 250-thread-count sheets, down blanket, comforter (bedspread), white duvet, and five goose down/feather pillows.

Guestrooms also feature furnished balconies or patios with island or ocean views, desks, multi-line phones with voice mail, and complimentary daily newspapers. Driving Directions

Take I-95 take Exit #8 Highway 278 east towards Hilton Head Island. Once on the island stay to the right and take Business Highway 278 when the road splits. At the tenth traffic light, turn left into Port Royal and follow the signs to the hotel.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite hotels. It offers so much. There is the wonderful beach, the indoor swimming pool, magnificent garden, outstanding dining, and my personal favorite, the outdoor whirlpools. Certainly, there are other places that have similar amenities. However, nothing says escape like the Westin.

Occasionally, you can get some deals - cheaper hotel stays. Not cheap, cheap, but cheaper. During those times, it can be the dead of winter, and you still feel like you have won the lottery. Yes, the rooms may be smaller, but they include impeccable decor. The room can make you feel almost as though money grows on trees.

Potentially, you can stay at the hotel for your entire stay. It could hurt your pocketbook a bit. There are nearby shops and restaurants that should be able to help you out. For us, we spent a great deal at the hotel. Yet, we still went out, too. We enjoyed a happy financial balance.

Regardless, there are some things that are priceless. Enjoying a warm Jacuzzi on a chilly day or walking around the surrounding golf courses make this place a treasure. Our family will always have these memories. Hopefully, your family will enjoy similar memories.

After reading several of the reviews on this site about the Hilton Head Westin, I almost cancelled my reservations. I'm glad I didn't, though. My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back to this property. We had booked through Travelzoo for a $99/night rate, so I wasn't expecting a great view from our room. However, upon check-in, we were upgraded for free to an ocean view room on the 4th floor. We took the elevator to our room and were pleased to see that the hotel appeared to be freshly renovated in the hallways. The carpet, common area seating and curtains all appeared to be brand new. Our room was nicely appointed with a king size poster bed (with the Heavenly bedding that Westin is known for -- very comfy!). The room was spacious enough and had a couch and seating area that included a desk. There was a small balcony that looked out onto both the ocean (very close) and the pool area of the resort. The bathroom was standard hotel grade, but it was very clean and just fine for our stay. The carpet in our room hadn't been replaced, but they were doing renovations on some rooms down the hall from ours, so I expect that room carpeting upgrades are in the works. Starbucks coffee and teas are provided for free in the rooms, which was a nice way to start the day.

The hotel is right on the ocean. It was cool during our stay, but we were able to take a walk on the beach. The hotel has a convenient walkway directly onto the beach. They also have indoor and outdoor pools. I'm sure that the resort is packed during the summer months, but we found it to be rather peaceful for the few days that we were there in November.
