“Loved the Marriott!”

I stayed at this hotel for a conference in the last week of April 2007. It was wonderful. The Bellman assisted us right away with our luggage. The check-in was fast and easy. I brought my best friend and my son along for the trip, so, we requested a microwave and refrigerator, which was delivered, to our room within 15 minutes of our request. The only issue we had was our sink stopped up a few days into our stay. They sent maintenance within 20 minutes and had it fixed in no time at all. They sent us a caramel apple, which my son loved, and a note apologizing the inconvenience. The Staff was extremely polite and courteous. The conference had breakfast and lunch
included, the breakfast buffet and lunch selections were incredible, as was the social hour selection. However, we chose not to eat dinner at the hotel due to the price. We did eat at Marleys (okay), and The Mellow Mushroom, awesome pizza.

The beach access was great. The poolside service was quick; the girls
were friendly and attentive. The kid’s meal was served in a sand bucket, which my son thought was terrific.

Again, I cannot complain, I travel quite a bit for work, I usually stay at a Marriott property, and this was by far, one of the most pleasant experiences.

September 24 to Sept..30, 2007 was the date of my first visit to Hilton Head. It was the reviews I read about the Marriott Golf and Beach Resort that led me to select it for my vacation. My thanks all of you who visited and wrote your reviews. It was fantastic! and wonderful and made my trip totally enjoyable. I had a partial ocean view room that gave me enough view of the ocean to enhance my island experience.
The room was clean as well as the entire hotel. The staff from the clerks, the doormen, the bellman, and the concierge was all knowledgeable, helpful and imbued with southern hospitality in assisting me and meeting my needs.
I tended to get lost a lot driving around the island and they were most helpful in giving me maps and clear directions on how to get to places I wanted to go to. The housekeeper I had was fantastic. When I go back next year I plan to stay at the same resort. The central location of the resort (at the middle of the Shoe is just perfect for going anywhere on the island. (Hilton Head is shaped like a shoe, I found out the third day of my trip.)
I give the Marriott a triple A+. Just loved it.
